Summer 2 - Being Human

Summer Fun 🌞🍦- It may have rained on our beach day but it was glorious for our final days in Rudhall. We all thoroughly enjoyed our end of term treats, ice creams and an inflatable assault course. Rudhall, you have been amazing! Have a restful Summer πŸ˜€

DT biscuits πŸͺ - This week Rudhall finished their food unit by making their biscuits, they were tasked with creating a new biscuit to boost staff morale in the staff room. The biscuit needed to have a crunch, be aesthetically pleasing and have a unique design. The room smelled delicious and we attracted many curious visitors!

Beach Day 2024 πŸ– - Rudhall class had a fantastic time in Barry with the rest of Gorsley. Despite the drizzle we enjoyed making sandcastles, digging holes, creating mermaids, boats and volcanoes! We were spoilt with some delicious gelato and even braved a paddle. Wonderful memories to end Year 5 with πŸ’•

Diversity Week 🌎πŸ₯ - As part of Diversity Week, the whole school were lucky enough to take part in an African drumming workshop. Rudhall class had the best time! Each child got to have a go on a range of different drums and the music was incredible!

Diversity Week 🌎 - As part of Diversity week, Rudhall ventured outside and created some nature artwork inspired by our learning. The children worked together to plan and create their art with fantastic results.

Sports Day 2024 πŸƒ - Despite the heat, Rudhall had a fantastic afternoon! Well done to everyone for taking part and a special congratulations to Raglan for being the winning House!

DT πŸ₯£ - Rudhall kick started their DT module this half term with some product research, taste testing a variety of biscuits. We sampled different sweet and savoury products already on the market to analyse their taste, smell and texture.

Art 🎨 - Father's Day cards - Rudhall class got creative and used the ancient art of origami to create their Father's Day cards. We upcycled some outdated local maps, repurposing them with wonderful results!

Computing πŸ–₯️ - Rudhall Class have enjoyed using the Micro:bits to help with their coding this half term. So far we have used algorithms to create a name badge, a beating heart and a step counter. The children have loved getting hands on and seeing their coding skills in action!
