Feel Fabulous Friday
Mindfulness involves paying more attention to the present moment, to our own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around us. According to the NHS, it can help us enjoy life more, understand ourselves better and improve our mental wellbeing.
Incorporating mindfulness into education has been linked to improving academic, social and emotional learning. With this in mind, we held an off-curriculum day where every child and member of staff in the school could choose from a range of 19 different mindful activities including bubble blowing, lego building, water play, completing an assault course, playing board games, chalking on the playground, meditation and learning how to breathe deeply like a dragon.
What a wonderful way to end the week, with everyone at our school FEELING FABULOUS!
