Every child at Gorsley Goffs receives an hour of drama every week in school as part of the Literacy and Speaking and Listening Curriculum. The approach is practical and is an ideal opportunity for the children to express themselves and raise their self esteem. Our drama is topic based and is assessed through a written piece of work at key stage two if appropriate and at points during the year Speaking and Listening assessments are also carried out. Our pupils are given the opportunity to talk, to communicate, to listen and work as a team and build on their performance work and group devising together. Each year group gets to take Part in an end of term production and this allows the children to enjoy all the skills they have developed in drama and gives each one the opportunity to perform and make memories that will last forever.
