The Early Years
Hello and a very warm welcome to the Early Years section. In Gorsley Goffs Primary School, our Early Years classroom (aka Reception or Foundation Stage) is called Acorn Class and it’s where the fun (and learning!) starts.
This is the third academic year running that we've had to make huge changes to the way we would normally introduce ourselves to you and your children due to Covid19 . . . let's hope it's the last!
From September 2021 the Early Years curriculum is changing, so even if you have older children who have recently been in Acorn Class, it may well be worth you still taking a look at the curriculum link below.
Rather than overload yourselves with all the information available immediately, I would suggest you go through the "Day in the Life of Acorn Class" video with your child first to see what school life is going to be like for them. The curriculum link is not so child-friendly, so you may want to have a look at that by yourselves. The other 2 links are also provided for your information, but they can be left until after your child has started with us. There are also photos and topic webs provided on the Acorn class page in the "Children" section of this website, which give a snapshot of some of the things we have got up to in the past year. We hope you like the look of our big, happy family.
Please see below all the key information and Pupil Registration consents that need to be completed and returned by Friday, 9th July at the latest. If you require a hard copy of documents please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Nicki Manning in the school office on 01989 720321 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The School Prospectus, Behaviour & Discipline, and Early Years Polices are available under the 'Related Pages'.
