Recreating The Great Fire of London during our Forest School session
Kempley re-enacts The Great Fire of London 1666
As part of our mini topic, the children created Tudor buildings from cardboard boxes, plenty of masking tape, white and brown paint and strips of black sugar paper to create the beams. The children took their completed buildings to Forest School where Mrs. Stafford took on the role of Thomas Farriner by setting the bakery alight! The children watched on in fascination as the buildings slowly burned through Pudding Lane. Thank you, Mrs. Stafford.
