Owl visitors
As an introduction to our topic, ‘If I Could Fly’, Kempley were treated to a visit from Wye Valley Falconry. Luke brought his team of three owls to meet the children. He brought a Caribbean Barn Owl, a Long-Eared Owl and an African Spotted Eagle Owl. The children asked Luke lots of fabulous questions about his birds and they found out some very interesting facts. Although Luke tried his best, the owls were not interesting in flying when they visited us but, Elsa, the Long-Eared Owl was very happy to be held by the children. It was a wonderful experience for the children. Luke said that he has visited lots of schools and that Kempley were the best class for their sensible behaviour, fantastic questions and their bird knowledge!
