Spring 2 - Water matter?
Waterworks Museum Trip - We all had a fantastic day on our class trip to Hereford Waterworks Museum. The day was action packed with tasks and activities based on the water cycle and waste water treatment, we had a treasure hunt, played in the water park and spent the afternoon pond dipping. We had a brilliant day of learning, bonding and having fun!
DT - Rudhall baked biscuits for their DT project this half term, as part of our PSHE lessons involved planning a fundraiser we decided to combine both subjects and sell our bakes in order to raise money for WaterAid. The bake sale was a fantastic success. Rudhall received many compliments on their delicious biscuits by pupils and staff. The total raised by Rudhall will be announced soon!
3D river basins - Rudhall got wet and muddy this week whilst working collaboratively to create a river basin out of natural materials. Although some of us were a little apprehensive to get dirty to begin with, we soon got stuck in and had a fun afternoon.
Science - Rudhall designed a comparative test to investigate whether the type of sugar affected the time it took to dissolve.
Rudhall have started their topic by looking at the key features of a river, we linked this to our work on water cycles and then created our own posters. The children worked really hard to get these completed in one lesson!
