Maya Masks
We have been studying Maya masks as part of our Maya topic. We learnt that the Maya created two kinds of masks; celebration masks and death masks to protect Maya nobles on their journey to the afterlife. Masks were sometimes based on animals and often used precious stones and metals like gold and jade. We worked hard to design and make our own Maya masks. Take a look at what we did.
