Brilliant Blood
We spent a day discovering the components that make up our blood. We learnt that each component has an important function and that these altogether make our blood brilliant. Then, we made our own 'blood' to help us remember these different components and their function. We use Cheerios and red food colouring to represent the red blood cells, we used yellow food colouring to represent the plasma and white mini marshmallows to represent the white blood cells. Finally we used pink mini marshmallows to represent platelets.
