World Book Day 2026 📚
Rudhall embraced World Book Day with a fun day full of activities around our chosen Oliver Jeffers book 'How To Catch A Star'. We began by creating a class book filled with our personal book recommendations that has been added to the library for the children at Gorsley to peruse when needing help choosing a new reading book. We then read our book and created our own narratives of how we would catch a star and the difficulties we might face. We continued our morning writing poems from the point of view of a star which we then wrote up in neat using pens. In the afternoon we created art in the style of Oliver Jeffers using watercolours, we then added salt to the wet paint to create a textured style. We then visited Briery and shared some stories together as well as being treated to 2 stories by Mr Grice. We ended the day by designing our own star catcher invention. We managed to pack so much in just from one picture book!
