Edward Goff: The man who made a million and gave it all away
Gorsley Goffs Primary School is celebrated its 200th anniversary and we started the celebrations early with two fantastic performances of the play, Edward Goff: The man who made a million and gave it all away. The original script was written by Reverend Patrick Goodland, a good friend of the school, and was adapted for a modern audience by Mrs Caligari.
Performing at Gorsley Baptist Chapel, Lynders and Oxenhall classes told the story of how Edward Goff moved to London from Herefordshire on a quest to earn money so he could transform the lives of poor, unruly settlers in Gorsley and the surrounding areas.
The children gave amazing performances; acting, singing and dancing to a packed audience. Thank you to all the staff who helped make it happen and thank you children ~ we are very proud of you!
