World Book Day
What a fabulous day we had for our annual World Book Day celebrations. The day began with our Big Booky Breakfast where families were able to share stories whilst enjoying a pastry and drink. It was a wonderful atmosphere! The classroom doors were transformed into book covers for the stories that the children were working on for the day. They all looked amazing! The children enjoyed sharing their wooden spoon story characters which can be seen displayed proudly in the library. During the morning we were treated to some wonderful assemblies. The Key Stage One children met the ‘Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and the Key Stage Two children met the ‘Boy in the Dress’. Thank you to our special guests. Thank you for all the gorgeous photographs of the children sharing a story. The photos are being displayed in the hall where the children have enjoyed spotted themselves and their friends. We would like to extend a massive thank you to all the parents, children and staff for all their hard work and support. There is a particularly big thank you to the PTFA for being such brilliant helpers with the Big Booky Breakfast. Without everyone’s help, this day would not be possible. We have raised just over £200 which will go towards replenishing the books in our school library. Thank you so much for making it such a special day.
