Growth Mindset training
Sports leader training
On Tuesday 16th May we were lucky to be visited by Mr Knight, who trained us in how to be effective playground leaders. We discussed what made a good leader and had a go at making our own playground game. We even got to test our ideas out on Kempley class! Despite the damp conditions, we really enjoyed our afternoon.
On Tuesday 21st March Gorsley sent a team of keen mathematicians to John Masefield to take part in a Year 5 Maths Competition. They took part in a variety of challenges over the day, including a countdown number round, a cross number round, a problem solving round and they finished the day with a relay. The team performed excellently over the course of the day and were crowned winners! Congratulations to all that took part.
We created freezeframes of our reactions when the Romans first tried to invade
We held a debate in Topic about which ruling system was the best - Kings, Republic or Empire?
Children in Need
This is us dressed up as pirates for Children in Need. We raised nearly £500! We also got to meet Pudsey.
At the start of this half term, we had an alien visitor who decided to rearrange our classroom. He wants us to build him a new spaceship to help him get home, so we have been learning some instructions on how to build a spaceship. We have used actions to help us remember, can you guess which action each person is trying to show?
