Raglan Castle Visit
What a wonderful day for Kempley Class
to visit the fabulous Raglan Castle.
We began our day by meeting Minstrel Tom. Minstrel Tom was a very exciting character who wore a medieval outfit, showed us lots of medieval artefacts, including weapons and he played many different and exciting instruments. Afterwards we split up into small groups and explored the castle. We found and visited many dark cellars and climbed narrow towers too, one with over 100 steps with amazing views. We spotted arrow slits, gun holes and many fireplaces. We were extremely lucky with the weather, the rained stayed away and the sun tried to shine too! The children’s behaviour was impeccable and the whole day was a real pleasure. Thank you to our adult helpers and the PTFA for funding our trip. Finally a massive thank you Kempley Class for the best day ever!
