Briery have had a busy year at Forest School. Apart from learning how to look after our woods and each other, we have built dens, designed parallel rope course and tested out our culinary skills in the muddy kitchen.
Recently we have been pond dipping and bug hunting, finding pond snails, tadpoles, dragonfly nymphs and pond skaters. We also learnt the importance of returning them safely to where we found them.
A highlight of the year has been the campfire where we have enjoyed cooking popcorn, smores, bread and homemade butter and cinnamon toasted apples. We hope to make pizza and elderflower fritters in the final term.
